Here
are some photos of Disney World, Florida which were submitted by Jo.
A big thanks to Jo for submitting her Disney World photos! - here is
Jo's Disney World, Florida review:
I
have been to Disney World 4 times from the ages of 8 to 25 and it's
different every time I have been - through new rides or different
parks opening such as Animal Kingdom.
Disney is every kids dream and every big kids too!!! - Disney World
itself is massive and takes at least a few days to walk round as
there is so much to see and do with rides, shops and parades. You have
various lands with different rides and different characters are
walking around all the time for you to have your picture taken with. A lot of the rides children can go on, but there are some more
extreme rides for the big kids.
Epcot centre is also part of the Disney as well, which is a selection
of different countries and every evening there is a spectacular
firework show (get there early to get a decent place to see). There
is so much to see in Disney that you need to (on your 1st day) work out a rough itinerary of where you want to go
- as there is so much to cram in to two weeks. You have Universal Studios, Island of
Adventures, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom and about 4 different water
parks too!!!
As
I got older, as much as I still love Disney, I enjoyed Island of
Adventures, Universal Studios and MGM Studios - as the rides are a bit
more dramatic as they are made by the studios. They include plenty
of fire, water and wind machines. There are also rides showing how
they do all the special effects in the movies which I found really
interesting.
I
have been 3 times - twice in October and once in July; and I would NEVER go
again in July - as it is rainy season, and the queues in the park are
massive. When we were at school we used to go for the week of October half
term and then have a week off school, the queues were a lot smaller
and the weather was not as hot - but still very hot for us brits to
enjoy a holiday and get a good tan!
Last time we went it was Halloween and the Island of Adventures in
the evening turns into a horror theme evening which was brilliant - the studios were massive haunted houses and you walk through as real
actors jumped out on everyone. Even around the park, people are in
camouflage and jump out of the bushes - its not for the faint hearted
but very funny!
I
have stayed in various private owned villas and motels around
Kissimmee as they are very close to all of the parks. There is also a place
called 'Old Town' - just down the road - and that is like stepping into a
cowboy film! - and has some of the old fashioned shops.
