San Diego is California's second largest city and the seventh largest the United States. San Diego County plays host to many communities such as Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Escondido, La Mesa, Hillcrest and Barrio Logan to name but a few.
San Diego has a great climate (it is blessed with year round sun) and around 70 miles of beaches. The city has a very laid back feel which may be partly due to the average temperature of 72 F and around 300 days of sunshine per year!

There are many family orientated attractions such as San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld and Legoland. San Diego offers a huge variety of things to see and do which maybe why it appeals to visitors from all around the world.
One particular attraction worth a mention is Balboa Park (the first photo is Balboa Park) which features 15 museums, numerous art galleries and the San Diego Zoo.
San
Diego was once a thriving fishing port but it is now turning its energy towards
tourism. It is considered to be the birthplace of California and began with an
18th-century Spanish missionary called Father Junipero Serra.
The Spanish influences still remain to this day, however San Diego is a melting pot of cultures and communities with something to appeal to everyone. After all, 32 million visitors per year can’t be wrong!
