Here is Adam's review of Jasper
and Banff in Canada:
Jasper and Banff are
national parks situated about a two hours drive away from each other in the
Canadian province of Alberta. If you ever have the opportunity to visit one of
them, then you must visit both!! The drive between the two has to
be one of the best in the world. The road is called the Icefields Parkway and
takes you through the Canadian Rockies. The trip could easily take you days if
you stopped at every beautiful landmark, there are lakes whose colour are
indescribable (my pictures do not do them justice); there are waterfalls,
glaciers, and so much more (such as a good chance of seeing bears if the time of
year is right).
The national parks
themselves are equally spectacular, and they provide so much to do – skiing
(obviously depending on the time of year), hiking, white water rafting,
hand-gliding, and so much more. The towns are also quite pleasant, albeit
fairly small and with only a handful of restaurants and bars. There are,
however, plenty of outdoor clothing stores, which gives you a good idea of the
type of places Jasper and Banff are – places perfectly suited for those who love
the outdoors, love exciting activities or just love beautiful places. If you
are that type of person, then I cannot recommend this part of the world highly
enough.
